DIY: essiccatoio a sospensione

Fil di ferro e un po’ di manualità per realizzare un semplice oggetto che aiuta la buona essiccazione.

Una farfallina si posa leggiadra…

Raccogliere le più sane e buone erbe di primo mattino e legarle in fasci non troppo stretti. Andranno appesi capovolti in luogo fresco ed arieggiato.

Pick up the healthiest and best herbs early in the morning and tie them in not too tight bundles. They will have to be hanged upside down in a cool and ventilated place.

 

I tempi di essiccazione dipendono dalla quantità di acqua di cui sono costituite le erbe, saranno pronte quando non rilasceranno più tracce di umidità. Si potranno in seguito conservare in contenitori ermetici al riparo da aria e luce con il passare del tempo i principi attivi diminuiscono. Occorre ogni anno preparare nuove scorte.

The drying time depends on the amount of water the herbs are made of, they’ll be ready when there won’t be any more traces of moisture. You can then store them in an airtight container away from light and air, with the passage of time the active ingredients will diminish. You’ll need to prepare annually new stocks.
